Rediscovered negatives III

February 21, 2011

In the morning, the snow had again dusted the streets (just enough that made K. exclaim “snow”), and the spring semester started. One of the things I did manage to do in the in-between period that is cynically called winter break is to finish Wanderlust: A History of Walking by Rebecca Solnit. The book was a true New Year surprise (getting a book you delete from your Amazon shopping basket from a person you have not been talking about it to is simply marvellous) and it moved to the top of the to read pile. The book is a good read and although I will hammer it into my Flaneur2.0 project, it can be an enjoyablyevening read, if you are interested in the aspects of walking that go beyond mere transportation.

The image is a Holga photo from a rediscovered batch of negatives taken in Ljublana about four years ago.
