Po tato bavo ala tato

Tamara turned two yesterday and fireworks rained at midnight just for her.
As her big eyes watched the colorful flickers and sparkles of Chinese gunpowder above smokey Kamnik horizon, she suddenly said “Beautiful daddy. Bravo.” and started clapping: “Thank you daddy”. It was soo sweet.

Actually, she has been doing this ever since we pot up our season’s chandelier -a wireish Ikea thingy we bought a few years ago and which we than decorate with colourful glass and crystal pendants (looks so nice in real life but is impossible to photograph). Ever since I mounted the chandelier, I get the credit for all the decorating – from our Christmas three to the lights over the streets of Ljubljana and even the fireworks.

The pic is a view form our window and no, I didn’t get any credit for this one. I know you should not judge the people by the kind of lights they display for Christmas/New Year but one can hardly resist this one. There is some “interesting” and kitschy stuff in our neighbourhood but this one is “special”. I mean, what is it? Bad taste? Skill-less man of the household? Avantgarde aesthetics? Bizarre? Previously unknown Rune letter?
One thing is for sure, it is “traditional” – this is the third year they have it like that.

    Happy birthday Tamara!

Perhaps the lights have been placed to mark Santa’s entry point.

Am not sure it wrks though – the lihgts are still up and even the Orthodox Christmas is over by now.
Perhaps they are just trying to puzzle airline pilots.
