We spent Saturday in my hometown, an interesting venture in itself. And a yummy one. We had the best burek in town in a small family-run place which barely changed since I can remember. The old Mr. Šerifi still serves you the plate with a napkin on the top of the chopped burek so that it gets greasy before you can use it, you can still peek into the kitchen are where the baker is flipping dough over his head and stretching it on the table and get ice cream from one of those old gelati machines. One of the highlights is the 70’s price list which always had just five items and the only thing that changed over the years were the names of the currencies.

There are some other shops that remained more or less unchanged over the years, like the hairdresser’s shop whose sign is in the pic. Yes, that’s right, the sign says hairdresser’s shop :)
